Direct answer
The Triad, Unfiltered is a free 17-page guide for people relocating to the Piedmont Triad. The region does not behave like one market: Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point have different tax rates, housing stock and school systems, and the county line under a house can matter more than its mailing address. The guide covers each city’s neighborhoods, the property tax picture and the revaluation still to come, how North Carolina contracts work, and a 90-day plan. Enter your name, email and mobile, and the download appears immediately.
What you will be able to do after reading it
- Read the Triad as three cities around one airport, and pick a lane: Forsyth, Guilford or an outer county.
- Check which county, city and fire district actually tax a parcel, and budget for the revaluation before it lands.
- Walk into a North Carolina contract knowing what the due diligence fee buys and when your leverage runs out.
- Order the inspections that older houses and well-and-septic properties need, at the right time.

About the guide
What is The Triad, Unfiltered?
A free 17-page relocation guide to the Piedmont Triad in North Carolina: Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point and the towns and counties around them. It covers the market, how the three cities fit together, neighborhoods by housing stock, property tax and the coming revaluation, how North Carolina contracts work, what residents wish they had known, employers and campuses, a 90-day moving plan, and how to evaluate a specific home.
Is it free?
Yes. You give your name, email and mobile number, and the download appears straight away on this page. Nothing is emailed to you unless you ask for it.
How is it different from Charlotte, Unfiltered?
It is the second volume of the same series, written for the Triad instead of the Charlotte region. The Triad is a single state, so the tax question is not North versus South Carolina but which county, city and fire district a parcel sits in. If you are weighing both regions, read both.
Why do you ask for a phone number?
Because the guide is written to start a conversation about your move, and a real person answering your questions is the useful part. You will not receive text messages unless you tick the separate box that asks for them, and neither consent box is required to get the guide.
Will this put me on a mailing list?
Only if you tick the email box. Requesting the guide on its own is not consent to marketing email, and your details are never sold. The privacy notice explains exactly what is stored.
Is the guide legal, tax or financial advice?
No. It is general information current as of its 2026 publication. Tax rates, appeal deadlines, road schedules and school assignment change and vary by property, so verify each one for any specific home before you act. Sir Ashley is a non-practicing attorney and does not give legal advice through the guide.
Can I get it in a different format?
Yes. The PDF has not yet been audited for screen reader tagging. If a different format would work better for you, call, text or email and it will be provided.
